I’m a Canadian girl living life out loud in California, eating tacos and sippin’ on green juice with my hunky hotel managing husband, Josh.
Back in Summer 2016 I broke all the rules of average by quitting my 5+ year corporate career in event management and diving head first into being my own boss (after years of side hustlin’) – all in the name of living a more fulfilling life, because otherwise, what’s the point right?
“I never expected that I’d become an entrepreneur…”
I’ve always known on some level that I was meant to do big things, but I guess I never thought it would be on my own terms.
Just as planned, I landed my dream job as a buyer for a travel incentive / event management firm shortly after graduation. I was riding off of the high of winning a few competitions for my event proposals and was completely thrilled to begin my career with a reputable events company.
But after two years of staring at numbers on an excel spreadsheet (the events world isn’t as glamorous as you might think!), my passion started
to seriously fizzle. I was feeling creatively constricted with untapped potential sitting in my small, windowless cubicle
and so one day I found myself starting to explore something new… the world of online business.
